In addition to the Document Engine and the document functions, there are a number of concepts that are used in various subsystems:

Name	Application area
JavaScript	The JavaScript API is used for mappings and for conditional subtemplates.
Mapping	With this standardized format, mappings can be used consistently throughout primedocs.
Scriptable configurations	Scriptable configurations allow to customize the configuration using JavaScript.
