Asset Gallery

An Asset Gallery stores corporate design images that can be used in generated PowerPoint presentations. Images can be grouped thematically in folders.

Creating and populating​

  1. Activate the administration view and select «New Template».
  2. Select «Asset Gallery» as the template type (category «Other»).
  3. Open the template editor and build the image structure via drag-and-drop or by right-clicking on:
    • «Upload file» — upload a single image
    • «New folder» — create a thematic grouping

Linking with a Master template​

  1. Open the Master template in the template editor.
  2. Switch to the «Asset Galleries» tab.
  3. Assign the desired asset galleries.

After linking, users can insert the images directly in generated presentations. Which images are available in which slide layout is controlled via the Slide Layout Document Function (AssetFilter).

Post-editing​

If you want to adjust an existing asset gallery afterwards (changed or new images), proceed as follows:

  1. Activate the administration view in the primedocs client.
  2. In the left navigation, switch to the «Asset gallery» / «Assets» group (or the correspondingly named folder). All existing asset galleries are shown there.
  3. Select the desired asset gallery and click «Edit template» at the top — a window opens on the «Asset» tab.
  4. On the asset tab, images can be renamed, deleted or exported via right-click. With a multi-selection, several images can be deleted at once.
  5. Images or entire folders can be inserted via drag & drop and then saved. Groupings can be expanded and collapsed.
  6. After completing all changes, synchronize the client.

Before adding images, the files should be compressed. Large image files increase the loading time when opening the asset gallery.
