Disclaimer Template

A disclaimer template contains a legal notice (e.g. a confidentiality notice) that is automatically appended to outgoing emails. It is created as a Word document (.docx).

note

This template type is only visible in administration mode and cannot be used directly by users to generate documents.

Creating a Template

Unlike email, signature and campaign templates (which are HTML-based), the disclaimer is designed as a Word document (.docx).

  1. In primedocs Desktop, click «New Template» and select «Disclaimer (classic)» (Microsoft Outlook category).
  2. Give the template a name and select the document language.
  3. Open the template in the template editor. The disclaimer content is captured directly in the Word document — as is usual for Word templates.
  4. Capture and format the legal notice text (e.g. a confidentiality notice).
  5. Save and publish the template so that it is embedded at runtime.
note

The published disclaimer template is used per language. For multilingual environments, create one template for each required document language.

Linking to a Signature Template

The disclaimer is embedded via the configuration of the signature template. The signature template references the disclaimer template, and primedocs automatically appends the disclaimer content to every outgoing email that uses this signature.
