CMI
primedocs integrates directly with CMI, a Swiss business management system (GEVER). You can create documents from primedocs templates directly within the CMI interface, and the generated documents are automatically saved back into CMI.
How It Works
When you are working in CMI and want to create a new document, the CMI interface opens the primedocs Template Picker — the familiar primedocs web application — in an embedded panel. You select a template, fill in the form fields, and confirm. The finished document is automatically uploaded to the correct location in CMI without any manual download or upload step.
Creating a Document from CMI
- Open the relevant case or dossier in CMI.
- Click the primedocs button in the CMI toolbar to open the Template Picker.
- Select the desired template from the list.
- Fill in the form fields and click Create document.
- The document is generated and automatically saved into CMI.
Using CMI Data in Templates
Fields from CMI — such as case number, client name, or other metadata — can be automatically inserted into the generated document. These are made available as placeholders using Word Content Controls with the naming convention CMI_[FIELDNAME] or as bookmarks, which CMI populates automatically.
Contact your primedocs administrator if the CMI fields you need are not appearing in your templates.
Requirements
The CMI integration must be set up by your administrator. See CMI Web Integration for technical details.
