Tags

Tags can be used to mark templates in order to group them with a color coding and then search efficiently for these grouped templates.

Purpose

Tags serve two main purposes:

  1. Visual grouping: Assign a color to a group of templates (e.g. all templates belonging to a specific department) so they are visually distinguishable in the template list.
  2. Third-party system integration: Tags are used as a marker for calling templates from third-party systems with primedocs Connect.

Setting Tags

Tags are configured in the template editor's Properties tab (item 6). You can assign one or more tags to a template.

To search for templates by tag, use the search function in the primedocs client and filter by the desired tag.

tip

Use a consistent tagging convention across your organization to make it easy to find related templates. For example, use department names, project names, or template categories as tags.
