Teams

primedocs is available directly in Microsoft Teams. Users can create documents from primedocs templates without leaving Teams. Generated documents are saved automatically — either to the user's OneDrive or to a Teams channel folder.

Two Modes

Personal App

primedocs is installed as a Teams app and appears in the Teams sidebar. Documents created through the personal app are saved to the user's OneDrive.

Channel Tab

primedocs can be added as a tab to any Teams channel. Documents created via the channel tab are saved to the channel's SharePoint folder, making them immediately available to all channel members.

Prerequisites

  • Office 365 / Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) authentication is required.
  • The Entra ID App Registration requires the delegate permissions Sites.Read.All and Files.ReadWrite.All.
  • Only web-compatible primedocs templates are supported.

How It Works

  1. The Teams app is configured in primedocs.config with a <teams id="[GUID]" namePrefix="" /> entry.
  2. A Teams app manifest is generated at https://your-url.example.com/app/api/manifest/teams.
  3. The manifest is uploaded and distributed via the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre.

Installation
